Gracie + Elan's Bohemian Chic Beach Wedding
We are still dreaming about Gracie and Elan's bohemian beach wedding! These two came to Four Winds looking for a casual, fun, and relaxed beach ceremony along the Guanacaste coastline.
The Pangas Beach Club in Playa Tamarindo was the perfect venue with it's cool, laid-back vibe and beautiful beach setting. Guests were welcomed to Pangas with some local flavor. Coco Loco cocktails were poured into coconut shells and then offered up from a display in on old dugout canoe.
These two honored the natural beauty of the location and exchanged vows under the statuesque Matapalo tree. Elan's family is Jewish so they blended Jewish wedding traditions into the ceremony. For the ceremony music, they called upon their friends, and two guests of the wedding expertly played throughout the first part of the evening. This wasn't all for entertainment. The crowd started dancing when the vintage accordion was pulled out for a little jam during cocktail hour.
For dinner, guests dined in teak X-back chairs at teak Guanacaste tables from Eventos Artesanos adorned with bright, eclectic table runners, hurricane candles, and a full garland of Bougainvillea flowers and tropical greenery. Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner that played up some of Costa Rica's favorite dishes such as coconut rice and coffee wrapped flank steak.
Gracie is an avid DIY'er and brought several wonderful items she had created to add to the design of the wedding such as hand sewn table number cards. There is no flower that this bride loves more than Bougainvillea, a beautiful flower that grows in fuchsia shades. The season for this local flower just happened to fall during this wedding so there was an abundance of the blooms infused throughout the event. This tied in an almost electric pop of color adding to the bohemian aesthetic. And how lovely are those bridesmaids with their flowing, floral dresses and complementing, monochromatic, bouquets!?
