We were delighted when we received a gracious email from Jacqueline of Los Altos de Eros inviting us to take a tour of their luxury inn and spa. We had read so many great things about the property on tripadvisor. The english translation for Los Alto de Eros is “The Height of Love”. The 5 room Inn is perched high on one of the coastal hilltops just outside of Tamarindo, Costa Rica and has a stunning view overlooking the hills and the ocean in the distance. Although it is a small Inn with a capacity of 10 guests, it has a staff of 28. This ensures that guests receive the highest level of service possible.

As we were led down to the spa, we were taken aback by the stunning view of the Costa Rican landscape. The opened air lobby of the inn is beautifully decorated with carved sculptures and tropical inspired artwork. The blue tile infinity pool shares the remarkable view and is surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs for those wanting to soak up the sun. Our tour led us to the yoga facility which is a thatched roof, opened air room with an incredible view of the countryside and ocean. It is the perfect place to have a private ceremony. We continued to the spa, which is just steps away from the pool, but feels completely private as it is perched on the hillside just below. There is a waiting lounge with a hot tub for those that want to soak before their treatment. Each individual room in the spa is opened air, yet completely private with not a house in sight. It is truly a zen experience. The spa package includes the choice of 3 treatments from the Spa de Eros menu. We chose the signature massage, volcanic mud wrap and the indonesian soaker tub. The treatments were all completely amazing and the soaker tub with a nice glass of merlot allowed for rosy reflection. The spa visit was complete with a beautiful lunch of prawns, ceviche, chicken, pasta, wine and a tropical fruit smoothie. We truly felt like royalty.
