Tree Wedding Inspiration :: Costa Rica
Today we have a special treat for you all. A while back, our work was featured on 100 Layer Cake. If you didn't get a chance to catch that article, we have all of our favorites from this exotic, Costa Rican Wedding shoot right here.
This wedding breaks the mold of what a modern destination wedding could be. It incorporates surrounding farmland, jungle and beach, all integral to Costa Rica's landscape. It sheds bright tropical colors for a very natural palette and highlighted raw organic materials used for décor.
Eco-friendly rustic chic elements were used for every detail. Seasonal flowers, twine, recycled glass, coffee paper, driftwood, local hardwood, leather, and even stones were paired, and the end result was both earthy and opulent.
After a little location hunting, we couldn't have more excited when we found a tropical tree with an a-symmetrical shape that created an arch to frame our bride and groom.
An oversized dining table layered with many textural changes in organic materials, refines the tablescape and blends to it’s surroundings. Typical dining chairs were replaced with streamlined benches made of 100% teak.
For this shoot we had the pleasure of working with Gustavo of Eventos Artesanos. He hand crafted these lovely teak benches that we used for the ceremony and reception. They are doing some very cool things in his workshop. Keep an eye out for some new rustic modern wooden tables in upcoming events!
Keeping the focus on the tropical surroundings, chic lounge furniture, pillow seating and teak serving trays created a tempting, gathering space for sunset.
We absolutely love this rustic chic style of wedding and had a blast pulling it all together with Comfort Studio. We would love to hear what you think. Did these cute-as-a-button owl whistle gifts just make you smile?
